William Ross SHS – Year 7

William Ross SHS received a new General Learning Classroom Block as part of the Year 7 Flying Start Program through the Department of Education and Training. The site selected for the project was a Greenfield site on the edge of the school oval. The site floods regularly so the design of the new building had to take into account the overland flow of the site and divert the storm water around the building platform. The new building contains 7 General Learning Classrooms, 1 Flexible Learning Area, 1 collaborate area, 1 Project Development Area and a new staff room was constructed. The new building that was delivered using a Traditional Fully Documents Procurement method to ensure the project was delivered before the start of school 2015. The building was designed to allow ample natural light and cross ventilation. The project was delivered on time and on budget.
