Trade Skills Centres – Wavell State High School, Kelvin Grove State College and Sandgate District State High School

The project saw Wavell State High School, Kelvin Grove State College and Sandgate District State High School joining forces as part of the Department of Education and Training’s federally funded Trade Skills Centres initiative.

Honeywill Consulting worked with the design team and individual schools to develop a scope of works that would meet their individual needs.

For Kelvin Grove SC and Wavell SHS, this meant an extension and refurbishment of their workshops. Sandgate District SHS needed a whole new building that would house their new workshop, as well as providing a facility to deliver Automotive (Motorbike and Marine) Engineering for Certificate 1 and 2.

Each project was delivered in an active environment, where safe passage of students and structured service interruptions were coordinated to ensure minimum impact to the schools.

All three projects where delivered on time and within budget.
