Corinda State High School – SIEP Industrial Technology and Hall

Corinda State High School was selected as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program to receive an upgrade to their industrial technology classroom block and hall upgrade, through the Department of Education and Training.

Honeywill Consulting worked with the design team and the school to develop a design solution that would enhance the practical learning experience of the students, while modernising and future-proofing the facilities at the school.

Some of the key features of the project included new writeable teaching walls, custom built welding bays, compliant extraction systems, new glazing, acoustic treatments and a complete rewiring of the building. The hall received a new acoustic ceiling and refurbishment of the hall timber floor.

The refurbishment works was delivered during term 1 of 2016 using a Design and Construction Procurement method.

The works were completed during the school term with restrictive programme, asbestos removal and a high quality finished product required.

The project was delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
